# Overview

Physical SIM cards for lb-phone - no number until a SIM is inserted.

**rayn\_simcards** adds physical SIM cards to **lb-phone**. A phone has **no number** until a SIM card is put into it. Players buy cards from a vendor NPC, can lose them to thieves, report them stolen, get duplicates and order a custom number of their choice.

### Features

* **No SIM = no number** – an empty phone does not turn on and shows *No SIM card*. lb-phone no longer hands out free random numbers.
* **Physical SIM card item** – using the card puts it into an empty phone. The number is stored in the phone item, so a stolen phone carries the number of the card inside it.
* **Eject SIM** – right-click the phone in ox\_inventory → *Eject SIM*, or type `/simeject`. The card goes back to the inventory.
* **Vendor NPC** with a blip and a clean kiosk UI: buy a card, report it stolen, get a duplicate, order a custom number.
* **Theft protection** – a reported or replaced card is blocked at once and removed from whichever phone holds it (online players instantly, offline players on login, phone use or pickup).
* **Custom numbers** – players pick their own number. Length, allowed prefixes and a blacklist are configurable. lb-phone contacts and messages move to the new number.
* **Admin command** – `/setnumber [id] [number]` gives any number for free, also from the server console.
* **Auto insert** – a bought card goes straight into an empty phone.
* **Existing numbers keep working** – optional settings strip or overwrite old lb-phone numbers.
* **ESX, QBCore and Qbox** (auto-detected), **ox\_target / qb-target** or a marker, **English and Polish** locales.
* **Database tables are created automatically.**

{% hint style="info" %}
The full feature set needs **ox\_inventory** and lb-phone with `Config.Item.Unique = true`. Other inventories run in the classic mode (see *How it works*).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://rayn-scripts.gitbook.io/rayn-scripts-docs/rayn_simcards/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
